Vapor Quality

The chamber size of the ArGo can hold about 0.15 grams of dried material. It uses convection to heat the material and create vapor. You get graduated temperature control with the OLED screen rather than preset temperature settings. This unit provides vapor of excellent quality and full of flavor.

The chamber size of the DaVinci IQ can hold between 0.7 and 1.2 grams of dried material. It uses conduction to heat the herb and any flavorings to create vapor. This unit has a zirconia pearl in the chamber to help ensure even heat distribution.

You can fill the flavor chamber in this unit with a variety of dried material to make your own flavor combinations and enhancements. Users have reported using lavender, fennel seed, and rose to add flavor to their herb but really the combinations could be endless.

You could also pack the flavor chamber with additional dry material. The flavor and vapor cloud of this unit is also excellent. The temperature of the oven is controlled by a smartphone app or by the control buttons on the unit.

The Smart Path feature (there are three different smarts) in the application lets you slowly increase the temperature as you use the unit. The app also allows for precision control at your fingertips.

Portability

Arizer ARGO in hand

The ArGo is small enough to fit easily into a pocket or a purse for easy carrying on the go. The upper section of this vaporizer extends to both hide and protect the glass mouthpiece.

This is a significant design upgrade given that previous versions from Arizer have had issues with cracking and breaking.

Davinci IQ in hand

The DaVinci IQ is also small enough to fit easily into a pocket or a purse. Its mouthpiece is flat rather than extended making for easy carrying on the go without the need for additional protection.

Discreetness

Loading the Arizer ArGo is easy but it is not discreet in that you have to remove the mouthpiece, dip it in your dry material and reload the mouthpiece into the unit. However, the unit does fit into the palm of your hand for discreet use after the chamber is loaded.

The DaVinci IQ is slightly smaller than the ArGo and will fit into your hand for discreet use outside of the home.

Material Quality

Arizer ARGO Canada

The Arizer ArGo’s mouthpiece is made of borosilicate glass. The mouthpiece helps to cool and conserve the vapor. It also helps you load dry material easily into the chamber. The glass is protected quite easily with the press of a button but if left unprotected, it will have a risk of cracking or even breaking altogether.

It features an OLED screen for temperature control. The battery is removable allowing for longer use.

The battery takes about 3.5 hours to charge and for that, you get about 90 minutes of use. You can use pass-through charging after about 15 to 20 minutes of charging. Aesthetically, the Arizer ArGo is more functional in appearance than the IQ.

Davinci IQ Canada

The DaVinci IQ mouthpiece is made of zirconia, which also helps to cool down vapor (the longer mouthpiece). There is also a shorter, more portable mouthpiece that doesn’t cool the vapor as much.

The battery in this unit is also removable, allowing for longer use and can be charged separately from the unit. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to charge on a USB cable and 2 to 3 hours on an external charger, which is sold separately.

For that, you get about 90 minutes of use as well. The IQ is a little more stylish than its competitor. Aesthetically, the DaVinci IQ is sleeker than the ArGo.

Both vaporizers are only capable of processing dry herb.

Ease of Use

The battery is the Arizer ArGo is replaceable, so you can have two on the go at once. With only two pieces, the unit is also very easy to clean and maintain. It is very intuitive to use.

The mouthpiece makes it very easy to load your dry material into the chamber in one-step. You just:

  • Dip the end of the mouthpiece into the dried material and gently tap.
  • Place the end into the unit and press down to expose the mouthpiece.
  • Power on with the menu and plus button, select the temperature that you want and it will beep twice when the temperature is right.
  • It’s time to drawn down vapor!

The OLED screen on this vaporizer will help you stay on top of what it happening – temperature, battery use, everything you need to know.

The ArGo can easily manage microdosing with you need IQ spacers to load smaller amounts into the IQ. These spacers affect airflow.

The battery in the IQ is replaceable as well, so you can have a backup ready to go. There are more parts to the IQ unit, making it a little more effort to clean and maintain.

Using the face buttons on the vaporizer to control some of the more advanced functions can be difficult but this unit also has a Smartphone app to control several of the options.

To use this unit:

  • You first open the chamber.
  • Pack in your dry material and close.
  • You can add dry flavoring material to the flavor chamber as well.
  • Press the power button five times to power on the unit in its smart path mode.
  • Tap the button to change to precision mode if you want.
  • Choose a temperature or smart path.
  • Hold the power button down to start drawing down vapor.

The IQ has a sleeker design that the ArGo, which is functional in its appearance. With spacers, the IQ can handle microdosing for those that wish to use it for that purpose. In the end, the two vaporizers are very similar to one another and both produce an excellent quality vapor for a similar price. The choice between the two will come down to user preferences.

If you want an easy to clean product with button controls, you will not go wrong with the Argo. If you want the ease of use of the Smart Path options on the smartphone app and the flavor extras that come with an additional chamber, you will not go wrong with the IQ.

This is truly a competition between two well made, reliable vaporizers where most of the points will be given to the product that have all the extras that a particular user wants.
