In this article, we will be reviewing two popular vaporizers that are manufactured by the well known Arizer. Due to the fact that both of these units have similar functions and offer similar vapour quality, we will be breaking down their pros and cons to make the process of choosing ‘the one’ easier based on your personal preferences.
Before we go in to which one is “the best” and which one would win in a vape battle, however, I’d like to mention that I cannot actually choose a ‘winner’. Each individual vape user has her or his preferences when it comes to vape units, their functions, their quality, their portability and more.

Both the Arizer Air 2 and the Arizer Solo 2 have really good temperature settings, ranging from 50 degrees Celsius and 220 degrees Celsius. Instead of having preset temperatures that limit your options, they both give you the option of enjoying your favourite dry herb at the perfect temperature.
The only thing that makes these units different is that the Solo 2 reaches the desired temperature faster than its competition; however, they both have the exact same range of impressive temperature settings.
3. Battery Life
When it comes to battery life, the Arizer Solo 2 is definitely more impressive when compared to its competition. The Solo 2 allows you to enjoy 3 hours of continual use after a single charge and can be used while it is being charged, meaning that you will be able to enjoy it on the go for an impressive 180 minutes without having to charge it.
The Solo 2 however takes 3 hours to fully charge, where as the Air 2 takes 90 minutes; this is understandable however, due to the long battery life it offers.
The Air 2 still has a pretty impressive 60 minute battery life that allows you to enjoy your unit for a whole hour without worrying about charging it. The Air 2 cannot be used while charging however, which also makes the Solo 2 a bit more recommendable.
When compared to other option on the market, both units have impressive battery lifes that will fulfil all your vape needs.
4. Ease of Use
Both the Arizer Solo 2 and the Air 2 are easy to understand, easy to use and easy to enjoy. They both have similar LED displays screens that greet you with a smile when you turn on the unit and show your units temperature and battery percentage.
When it comes to their functions, they are pretty similar and easy to understand; even for a vape beginner, these units can be used to their full potential after the first use.
5. Portability & Discreetness

The Arizer Solo 2’s build is incredible; it is known to be durable and reliable, making it a great portable unit option. Its size is a slightly bigger when compared to the Air 2 and this is due to its incredible battery.
The Solo 2 however also has glass parts that are known to break easily, so it is a smart move to buy some extra accessories if you choose either of these units. The Solo 2 is also categorized as a quality portable unit and is discreet enough to enjoy anywhere.
Pro Tip - When it comes to fragile glass parts and pieces, try using something that will cover it completely so if it happens to fall, it has less a chance of breaking depending on the impact. I’ve used all the way from hair ties to masking tape and I’ve found that they are pretty effective.
You can even make your own protective ‘cover’ with cornstarch and cold silicon and add in your favourite food coloring to add a bit of style and class to your homemade accessory. If you find something that is effective, you might see that your glass parts will last much longer.
Arizer Air 2 vs Solo 2 - Which Unit Wins?
As mentioned above, I can not actually chose a ‘winner’ due to the fact that each model has its features, pros and cons that make it unique it its own way. Both units are popular in the vape community and are known to offer high quality vapour on demand and allow users to enjoy their favourite dry herb on the go. They have similar functions and are equally easy to use and easy to enjoy.
When it comes to preferences however, I believe the Solo 2 is better for those that prefer units that have long lasting battery life. The Solo 2 is also better for those that like vapour on demand, without having to wait for more than 30 seconds.
When it comes to portability however, the Air 2 is smaller sized and slightly easier to take in a pocket and enjoy on the go.
So, based on heat up time, build quality, battery life and portability, you will now be able to choose your favourite unit based on your personal vape preferences.
